Born in Milan on 10 September 1971, Umberto Ambrosoli graduated in Law at the University of Milan.

He entered Studio Isolabella in 1999. Right from the start, he started accruing his experience in cases of corruption, defrauding of the National Health System, bankruptcy, malpractice and professional diseases, and protection of honour.

For several years, he has been focussing mainly on commercial and corporate criminal law.

He is a member of selected Supervisory Committees for compliance purposes for Banks; in the financial sector, he also chairs selected Supervisory Bodies pursuant to Law (D.Lgs.) 231/2001.

From 2013 to 2016, he was a member of the Lombardy Regional Council.

He was a member of the Board of RCS Spa and, on appointment of the Courts of Bergamo, the sole representative of bond-holders in connection with an issue by UBI Banca. Formerly the President of Banca Popolare di Milano Spa, he is currently the President of Banca Aletti Spa.

He has authored many articles on law and anti-money laundering and several essays (the latest one: Right to Be Forgotten, Duty of Memory, Bompiani 2017).
